Admission

The International School of Brescia provides equal educational opportunities for all students without regard to gender, race, religion or nationality. Admission is decided by the principal of IS Brescia, whose conclusion considers the following criteria:
- Report card grades and certificates from previous schools attended (if any)
- Effective benefit that the candidate will gain from IS Brescia’s educational programs and services
- The institution’s ability to meet the candidate’s educational needs
Provided that space is available, students may be admitted at any time during the school year. IS Brescia reserves the right to decline admission of any candidate whose education needs may not be satisfied by the institution or to postpone admission when a class if full. In the latter case, a waiting list is available.
Pre-K students are admitted at 30 months. As a general rule, Kindergarten and Transition students are admitted to the Early Years programme on the basis of chronological age. Kindergarten students will have reached 3 years of age by 1 September of the year of admission, while students entering Transition shall have reached 4 years of age by 1 September. Admission of elementary grade students (Grades 1-3) whose birthdays occur in September are permitted some flexibility in admission. Such decisions are at the discretion of the principal.
