Parent-Teacher Association
The primary role of the Parent-Teacher Association at the International School of Brescia is to provide a forum through which all parents can become actively involved in the education of their children. Parent representatives for each grade level are elected annually. Issues brought forward during monthly meetings reflect the interests and concerns of parents.
Our grade-level representatives fulfil their role by:
- planning activities designed to attract and recruit more parents to build a robust parent involvement program
- helping to provide access to information and available educational resources to all the parents in the school
- identifying issues of concern and working with educators to address these issues
- sustaining parent involvement and participation in school activities
The minutes of meetings are recorded in English, distributed to parents via e-mail, and posted in the entrance. Office personnel or PTA parent representatives are available for verbal translations of the minutes or in regard to any questions pertaining to meetings.
