Our Italian programme
We speak English. We cherish Italian.
ISB ensures students maintain strong Italian language skills while benefiting from an international education. Our programme supports both native and non-native speakers.
For native speakers
Lessons follow the Italian national curriculum, preparing students for the state exams at the end of PYP5 and MYP3.
For non-native speakers
Tailored courses build fluency and cultural understanding, from Italian as an additional language to Italian ab initio in the Diploma.
Student life at ISB
A welcoming routine, in a bright campus
Students follow a structured yet dynamic schedule, ensuring a balanced mix of academics, creativity, physical activity, and social time.
- School hours
8:30 to 4:00 from Monday to Thursday, and until 3:10 on Fridays, with a morning snack, lunch and an afternoon break.
- Lunch, cooked onsite
A mostly Italian menu by Genesi Catering, with a themed meal each month. Our youngest students eat with their teachers.
- Clubs after school
From 3:00 to 4:00: drama, chess, German, eco club, sports and media in Primary; musical theatre, pilates and sewing in Middle Years.
- One-to-one technology
iPads in the PYP and MacBooks in the MYP and Diploma, with a basic coding programme in Primary.
Campus, facilities and life beyond the classroom
Our main school building is bright, spacious and designed for learning. Every classroom features flexible seating, interactive screens, and plenty of natural light.
Also: a separate Primary science room, a dedicated art room, and a shared music room.
